3M™ 1120 aluminum foil tape with conductive acrylic adhesive includes a dead soft aluminum foil backing with a conductive acrylic adhesive uniformly dispersed with conductive spheres for applications requiring reliable point-to-point electrical contact including EMI/RFI shielding, grounding and static charge draining applications. conductive adhesive tapes conduct electricity on both the top and bottom, create electrical connections by taping one electrically conductive tape to another. Use in the electronics industry for telecommunications, aerospace, computer, medical device and commercial electronic assembly applications, such as grounding and EMI shielding of laptop and cell phone screens. Electrically conductive adhesives are the perfect solution for making electrical contacts on circuit boards and other temperature sensitive substrates as their curing temperature lies below soldering temperatures. In addition, conductive adhesives are much more flexible than solder and as a result are better able to withstand vibrations. Aluminum foil tape with a conductive adhesive works well for EMI/RFI shielding on difficult to solder materials such as aluminum and high alloy steel. Use aluminum foil tape with aluminum housings and frames to prevent galvanic corrosion (corrosion when one type of metal is in electrical contact with another). Commonly used in the industrial industry for EMI and electrostatic shielding, use between transformer coil windings to reduce electrostatic coupling and around the outside of coils, relays and other components to prevent broadband EMI emissions. Ideal for cable wrapping, wrap heavy motor, generator, transformer and control relay wires, cables and connectors to shield against conducting and picking up EMI noise. Use aluminum foil tape in electronics manufacturing around doors and panels of electronic cabinets to shield and reduce EMI. Works well in equipment and electronics manufacturing to seal seams in EMI/RFI shielded rooms and machinery. Rated for 600 VAC dry applications. Meets flame spread requirement of UL 510.
