SG56-03 semi-conductive abrasion-resistant fiberglass tape coated with PTFE is a black anti-static and semi-conductive tape consisting of a woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE. The reinforced backing provides greater tensile strength and resistance to tears and punctures than typical PTFE tape with the same non-stick surface properties. The anti-static, abrasion-resistant fiberglass tape coated with PTFE is ideal for applications where dust and electrical charge could cause problems. Highly used in industrial manufacturing processes containing combustibles where ESD can cause explosions. Silicone adhesive resists temperatures up to 500 deg F, reinforced, anti-static PTFE tape is a durable solution to help reduce static and material build-up on packaging and heat sealing machines, ironing and pressing equipment. Use to protect against static build do to dust collection in chutes and conveyors along with protection from severe wear. Works well to reduce the stick of composite resins as well as static build-up for composite and metal bonding mold release applications. Use woven glass cloth PTFE tape in the industrial industry as a barrier of separation to help alleviate wear and friction between dissimilar materials and protect against electrical charge buildup.
