Description

3M™ Glass Cloth Tape, Abrasion-Resistant, Series: 134-3, 36 yd Length, 1-3/4 in Width, 3 mil Thickness, Natural, Silicon Adhesive, Fiberglass Fabric Backing, 40 in-oz Adhesion Strength, 70 in-lb Tensile Strength, 500 deg F Maximum Operating, Elongation at Break: 5 %, Specifications Met: ASTM D1000, ASTM D3759

134-3 abrasion-resistant fiberglass tape is a woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE, the reinforced backing provides greater tensile strength and resistance to tears and punctures than typical PTFE tape with the same non-stick surface properties. Silicone adhesive resists temperatures up to 500 deg F, reinforced PTFE is a durable solution to help reduce build-up on packaging and heat sealing machines, ironing and pressing equipment. High abrasion resistance, use for lining and protecting chutes, slides and troughs from severe wear. Easy release medium between surfaces where pressure, temperature changes and other factors may create a measure of adhesion, works well to protect rollers, conveyor belts, guide rails, drums and other process machinery and components from high levels of friction and vibration. Low surface resistance, use to reduce the stick of composite resins for composite and metal bonding mold release applications. Use woven glass cloth PTFE tape in the industrial industry as a barrier of separation to help alleviate wear and friction between dissimilar materials. Reinforced PTFE tape provides tear and puncture resistance, high temperature and chemical resistance, as well as non-stick surface protection from melted plastic materials, works well for bundling and harnessing cables and flexible tubes in harsh environments. Abrasion-resistant fiberglass tape is resistant to most chemicals and offers high moisture resistance, use as a temporary chemical barrier in the industrial and manufacturing industries.
