3M™ 1267 embossed aluminum foil tape is a dead soft aluminum foil impressed with an embossed pattern that protrudes through the acrylic adhesive to make direct electrical contact with the application surface. The reliable "through the adhesive" foil tape is used for EMI/RFI shielding, grounding and static charge draining applications requiring excellent electrical conductivity. Dependable grounding and conductivity, the embossed pattern through the adhesive tape offers very low contact resistance between the substrate and the backing providing an easy way to eliminate potentially dangerous static build-up on solid state devices, CRTs and computer peripherals. Easy solderability, use aluminum foil tape in electronics manufacturing around doors and panels of electronic cabinets to shield and reduce EMI. Works well in equipment and electronics manufacturing to seal seams in EMI/RFI shielded rooms and machinery. Use in the industrial industry for EMI and electrostatic shielding, use between transformer coil windings to reduce electrostatic coupling and around the outside of coils, relays and other components to prevent broadband EMI emissions. Works well for cable wrapping, wrap heavy motor, generator, transformer and control relay wires, cables and connectors to shield against conducting and picking up EMI noise. Rated for 600 VAC dry applications. Meets flame spread requirement of UL 510.
