3M™ 40PR anti-static utility tape is a transparent polyester film tape with acrylic adhesive used to help prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to sensitive electronic components in such locations as general manufacturing facilities, packaging lines, work stations, clean rooms and offices. 3M™ 40PR is printed with the 3M™ logo and the ESD protective symbol for easy identification. Generates extremely low levels of triboelectric charge when unwound from the roll and when removed from most surfaces, use at static safeguard workstations as part a total static control program. Works well in offices, clean rooms and work stations for hanging work orders and notes and labeling supplies where ESD is a concern. Use in facilities to seal boxes, bags and container's in static sensitive areas. Prevent damage to sensitive electronics, works well for closing electronics in static shielding bags. Use in manufacturing facilities for sealing supplies, contaminants to be disposed of, as well as, labeling parts and inventory.
