3M™ Shielding Foil Tape, Flame-Retardant, Series: 1194, 2.6 mil Thickness, Copper, 3 in Diameter Core, Conductive Acrylic Adhesive, Copper Backing, 40 in-oz Adhesion Strength, 600 V, 25 in-lb Tensile Strength, 150 deg F Maximum Operating, Specifications Met: UL 510, Product Category OANZ2, File E17385, ASTM D1000
3M™ 1194 is a smooth copper foil tape with an acrylic adhesive for applications requiring reliable point-to-point electrical contact including EMI/RFI shielding, grounding and static charge draining applications. Copper foil tape is highly conductive, offers excellent conformability and easy solderability, use in the electronics industry as a ground plane on printed circuit boards, for prototype wiring board layout and design and for repair and modifications to printed circuit boards. Works well in the electrical and electronics industries for shielding small electromagnetic components, electronic cables and connectors. Use copper foil tape in electronics manufacturing around doors and panels of electronic cabinets to shield and reduce EMI. Works well in equipment and electronics manufacturing to seal seams in EMI/RFI shielded rooms and machinery. Resists oxidation and discoloration, an economical choice in the industrial market for EMI and electrostatic shielding, use between transformer coil windings to reduce electrostatic coupling and around the outside of coils, relays and other components to prevent broadband EMI emissions. Ideal for cable wrapping, wrap heavy motor, generator, transformer and control relay wires, cables and connectors to shield against conducting and picking up EMI noise. Use copper tape in the arts industry for stain glass construction, attach securely to glass edges and corners to provide a smooth, uniform solder bead. Ideal for decorative arts and crafts projects, use thin copper tape for edging on photos, scrapbooks and cards, as well as embossing projects. Copper foil tape works well to shield guitar cavities to eliminate electrical hums and noise. Ideal in gardening to keep slugs and snails out of certain areas in gardens, potted plants and trunks of fruit trees and other trees and shrubs. Rated for 600 VAC dry applications. Meets flame spread requirement of UL 510. Works well for flat conductor assemblies. Use to seal seams and apertures in shielded rooms and doors and panels of electronic cabinets and enclosures providing electrical continuity.
