2B polyimide film tape is a conformable, puncture-resistant film with a silicone adhesive used for harsh environment, high temperature insulating, masking, holding and wrapping applications. The polyimide film is chemical-resistant, won't soften at high temperatures and offers outstanding electrical insulation performance making it highly effective for the protection and insulation of electronic and mechanical parts in the automotive, electronics and industrial industries. Use polyimide film tape in the electronics industry to mask components during the wave solder or solder dip process to shield gold fingers from the solder material and prevent unwanted electrical connections. Polyimide tape is stable over a wide temperature range, works well as a protection layer on fragile electronic components. Use as a ground barrier and phase insulation in high performance coils. High dielectric strength, works well as an outer wrap on small bobbin wound coils and on form wound coils for traction motors. Use in the automotive industry for wrapping switches, diaphragms sensors and coils in seat heaters. Does not soften at elevated temperatures, works well in the fabrication industry as a clean release surface for parts cured at elevated temperatures. Protect 3D printing projects from sticking to build plates, high temperature polyimide tape works well for 3D printers with heated build platforms. Can be linered and die cut.
